The Use of WISHBONE for reconstructing bone

In the USA there are over 10,000,000 bone graft procedures performed each year. Almost all of orthopedics, periodontics and oral maxillofacial surgery encompasses the use of bone graft material. Bone graft material can be comprised of many different structures and compositions. Modern graft material can be: synthetic, bovine (cow), porcine (pig), or human with or without added bovine collagen. Some surgeons then add growth factors, and or matrix factors to enhance healing and shorten the healing time.

WishBone Mg is a moldable or injectable magnesium based bone graft material. The material provides initial primary stability while increasing cell proliferation thereby enhancing mineralization which results in attenuated bone regeneration for multiple OMS/Perio procedures. The material is 80% restorable in 26 weeks, remodels to normal bone, and presents a faster time for bony healing. The product has a surface topography that supports bone formation and enhances primary structural stability within 30 minutes of preparation. Thus, we are now able to increase bone healing, and couple procedures to eliminate extensive healing times and second surgeries. BETTER<STRONGER<FASTER.

WishBone Mg can be used in all periodontal procedures where bone grafting is indicated. Additionally, the material can be used in all implant procedures where grafting is indicated. Further indications include all ridge augmentation procedures and repair of facial bone defects.

We may also suggest the combined use of PR (platelet rich plasma), progenerator cells and WishBone Mg for larger bony defects or where healing times need to be compressed.

We strongly recommend that if you require a bone graft procedure, you consider using WishBone Mg as your graft material of choice.
